Calvary Assembly’s CELEBRATE CANADA DAY event is an annual event that welcomes the entire Cambridge community (and across the Waterloo Region) to celebrate our great country.

The celebration is a FREE event that includes a carnival, food trucks (available for purchase), and a massive professional fireworks show to conclude the evening.

We invite you and your family to come visit on Canada Day!

The incredible DUO Comedy Juggling Act by Hudson Cates and Cole Sheeran is a very unique style of team comedy juggling that is rarely seen these days. Even more rare is that it’s done by two talented 17 year olds! They are making a big impression at special events, dinners, festivals and fairs.

Coached and guided by Hudson’s father, legendary comedy juggler Bob Cates, they are ready to make the audience laugh. This show is great for all ages!

They have performed at 100 professional events as part of the Comedy in Motion (1.0) show, including shows in Ontario, Alberta, Wisconsin, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan and many other places.

FIREWORKS SHOW

A massive professional fireworks show, set to music, will conclude the evening (approximately at 10pm). This will include a patriotic singing of our national anthem.

CHARACTER VISITS

Say hello to some famliar friends and take a photo!

LOCAL EMERGENCY VEHICLE VISITS

Come and meet our local police and fire teams, and check out their vehicles! (Vehicles will be present as available throughout the evening).

PETTING ZOO

Visit some friends from a local farm, including goats, a miniature donkey, a miniature horse, sheep, and alpaca!

PHOTO BOOTH

Grab some friends and snap a picture at our Canada Day themed photo booths!

PRE-SHOW ON THE MAIN STAGE

While the fireworks show is prepared and the sun sets, the pre-show stage will keep you entertained with entertainment, crowd games and more!

Is there an entry fee?

No! This event is FREE. See the webpage for all the great activities planned, including the carnival and the amazing FIREWORKS show to conclude the evening! Food trucks will also be available on site for purchase.

Do I need to register for this event?

No! Registration for this event is no longer required. Keep checking the website for more information and updates, and we will see you on July 1 at 6pm!

Will washrooms be available?

Yes! There will be portable washrooms and hand-washing stations available on site.

Where do I park?

Our parking lot will be unavailable to park in, as that’s where all the fun will be happening! You can park throughout the neighbourhood, or choose from the parking locations we have secured on this MAP.

Where do we watch the fireworks?

Bring your lawn chairs! A roped off section of our parking lot will be reserved for fireworks seating. You can set up your chairs and leave them unattended while you enjoy the carnival, at your own risk. Calvary will not assume any liability for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

What should I bring?

If you plan to stay for the fireworks, we recommend you bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. (Note that the majority of the seating area is on pavement).

Can I bring food onto the event grounds?

Yes, you are welcome to bring prepared food or snacks onto the event grounds for your family to enjoy. BBQs or other cooking devices are not permitted. Alcohol is not permitted. We will also have food trucks on site for purchase – check out the food truck section of this webpage for more information. We ask that all guests utilize the garbage bins located around the parking lot to dispose of their waste.
